Donald Trump predictably veered off script during his nearly one hour long speech at the Republican National Committee donor retreat at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday and once again, lashed out at two top party figures, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell and former VP Mike Pence for not doing enough to overturn the results of the election.
“[Trump began] swearing and telling everyone about the stolen election,” an attendee told The Daily Beast.
He blasted McConnell, deriding him as a “dumb son of a bitch,” for not doing enough to defend him during the second impeachment trial. Trump went after McConnell’s wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, for resigning her cabinet post after the Jan. 6 insurrection, according to Politico.
Mike Pence was also a target of his ire. Trump said he had spoken to his former VP recently and told him he was still disappointed in him for carrying out his constitutional duty by certifying the election, which he called “rigged.”
He also said that the COVID-19 vaccine should be named the “Trumpcine” in his honor.
Trump also vented petty grievances about “Oprah Winfrey and Barack Hussein Obama,” and accuse Dr. Anthony Fauci of being “so full of crap,” according to the Washington Post.
