Trump indicted on 7 charges in classified documents probe.

Former judge calls for Trump to be put 'in a jail cell' when he violates gag order.

Former President has been indicted on seven criminal charges in connection with his mishandling of classified documents that were recovered last year at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

The nature of the charges against Trump are not public, as the indictment is sealed for now. However, sources with knowledge of the matter told The New York Times that the charges include “willfully retaining national defense secrets in violation of the Espionage Act, making false statements and an obstruction of justice conspiracy.”

Trump said Thursday night that his attorneys were informed that he’s been indicted in the special counsel’s investigation into his handling of classified documents. He has reportedly received a summons to appear in U.S. district court on June 13.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said: “The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax.”

Trump also posted a video on Truth Social where he said he’s “an innocent man” and called the probe “a hoax.”

“I’m an innocent person,” he said. “I did nothing wrong. And we will fight this out just like we’ve been fighting for seven years. It would be wonderful if we could devote our full time to making America great again.”
