Donald Trump said Saturday that Joe Biden had beaten former President Barack Obama in an election.
Trump visited Ohio on Saturday to stump for his former critic turn sycophant, Bernie Moreno, in the GOP Senate primary. But, he struggled to read his teleprompters due to the 35-mile-per-hour wind at an airfield in Vandalia, Ohio where his rally was held.
Though he bragged about how nice it was “to have a president who doesn’t need a teleprompter,” he made more errors that usual while speaking without it, including a bizarre claim that Biden had defeated Obama in an election.
“You know what’s interesting? Joe Biden beat Barack Hussein Obama, anybody ever heard of him? Every swing state, Biden beat Obama but in every other state, he got killed,” Trump said.
Trump regularly made gaffes involving former President Obama while speaking at his rallies. He has mixed up Obama and Biden nearly a dozen times. On this occasion, it’s not clear what he meant.
