Donald Trump took a dig at former President Joe Biden’s cognitive ability during a campaign style speech at Fort Bragg on Tuesday and it didn’t end well.
Trump’s attack on Biden’s intelligence backfired as the sitting president showed he is not capable of a coherent thought by confusing the idioms “not the sharpest tool in the shed” and “not the brightest bulb.”
“I’ve known this guy for a long time,” Trump said. “He was never the sharpest bulb.”
Social media users mocked Trump’s brain fart, with one user calling him “the dumbest dude on the planet.”
“He wasn’t the brightest knife in the drawer either,” Machine Pun Kelly wrote.
