Donald Trump complained in an interview with far right UK British broadcaster and former politician, Nigel Farage that he does not get enough credit for the crowd at his Jan. 6 ‘Stop the Steal’ rally that preceded the attack on the Capitol.
Asked if he regretted his Jan. 6 rally Trump answered by bragging about the crowd size.
“It was a massive rally with hundreds of thousands of people. I think it was the largest crowd I’ve ever spoken before,” he said.
“If you would’ve looked at the crowd’s size — nobody wants to talk about that. I believe it was the biggest and most people I ever — and I’ve spoken to very big crowds. I have never spoken in front of a crowd that size — nobody ever talks about that,” he added.
Earlier in the interview the former president once again downplayed his supporters storming the Capitol and said the real insurrection was on November 3 when Americans voted to remove him from office.
