Trump ordered to pay legal fees over failed Steele dossier lawsuit.

Donald Trump was hit with a new legal bill on Thursday after his lawsuit over the Steele dossier failed.

A London judge who threw out Trump’s case against Orbis Business Intelligence last month, ordered him to pay $382,000 in legal fees according to The Associated Press.

The company had requested $809,000 in restitution but the judge believe that was too high and cut the sum in half.

Orbis Business Intelligence was founded by former British spy Christopher Steele whose 2016 dossier included salacious allegations Russians could potentially use to blackmail Trump, the AP reported.

Trump sued the company alleging that the dossier was phony and he “suffered personal and reputational damage and distress.”

But Orbis argued that the case should be thrown out since the the dossier was never meant to be made public and was published without the permission of Steele or Orbis by Buzzfeed. The firm’s lawyers also said Trump’s claims was made too late.

The sum adds to Trump’s already massive legal bill which includes more than $500 million in penalties after he was found liable for fraud, sexual abuse and defamation. He also faces 91 criminal charges across four indictments.

Trump’s first criminal case relating to a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign begins later this month.
