Donald Trump is privately plotting to wage war against any Republican in the House or Senate who defect once the impeachment trial is over.
According to a report from Insider Trump is planning to embark on a nationwide speaking tour specifically designed to hurt Republicans who have backed his impeachment.
People familiar with the plans said Trump wants to target the 10 House Republicans who voted for his impeachment last month, as well as any Republican senators who speak out against him at next week’s trial.
But, Trump is waiting for the right time to take his show on the road. A close Trump ally told Insider that “even he recognizes that we have Trump fatigue. Even he knows that you can get overexposed, and he wore the electorate out, and that was part of the problem. He clearly wore the country out with his behavior between the election and the inauguration.”
