Trump says he will still run for president even if he's convicted.

Donald Trump vowed on Tuesday to remain in the 2024 presidential race even if he is convicted on felony charges in Manhattan.

“Is there anything they could throw at you legally, that would convince you to drop out the race? If you get convicted in this case in New York, would you drop out?” Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked Trump in his first interview since he was indicted last week.

“No, I’d never drop out — it’s not my thing,” Trump responded. “I wouldn’t do it.”

But, at least one of Trump’s 2024 GOP rivals former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), called for Trump to drop out of the race after his indictment in New York criminal court. An ABC News/Ipsos poll also found that 48 percent of Americans believe that the former President should suspend his campaign.

Trump was arraigned last Tuesday and charged with 34 felony counts in connection to an alleged $130,000 hush-money payment he authorized to adult-film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election. The former president plead not guilty.
