Trump says Ketanji Brown Jackson was 'unbelievably disrespectful' to GOP senators who during Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

Donald Trump accused Supreme Court nominee, Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson or being “unbelievably disrespectful” to Republican senators during the Senate confirmation hearings last week.

“Judge Jackson was unbelievably disrespectful to Republican senators that in many cases were really nicely asking questions,” Trump said at a rally in Commerce, Georgia, on Saturday night. “She had total disdain and even hatred for them.”

Supporters of Judge Jackson criticized Republican senators for their lines of questioning, which media outlets have described as “offensive” and “hyperpartisan.”

During the hearings, Republican senators smeared Judge Jackson with outright lies about her record on child pornography cases and critical race theory.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) claim Jackson was “soft” on child pornography offenders. Fact-checkers say his allegations of leniency are misleading and echoes conspiracy theories from QAnon.

The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill) had to intervene as Ted Cruz (R-Tx) went over the allotted time limit to grill Jackson on her sentencing for child sex criminals, gender and critical race theory. Cruz then engaged in a back and forth with Durbin and later checked his Twitter mentions after the confrontation.

Durbin had to intervene again as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C) kept interrupting the judge as she answered questions, Insider reported.

The Senate Judiciary Committee plans to vote on Jackson’s nomination on April 4. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans to bring the nomination to the floor on April 8.

If confirmed Jackson will become the first Black Woman on the Supreme Court. She will be replacing retiring liberal Justice Stephen Breyer.
