Donald claimed that more white people are being killed by the police than black people in an interview with CBS News on Tuesday.
Asked why black Americans are still being killed by police, Trump squandered the opportunity to empathize with the black community by attacking the journalist and stoking white grievance.
“So are White people. So are White people. What a terrible question to ask. So are White people. More White people, by the way. More White people, Trump said.
According to research conducted by the American Public Health Association, black men are 3.5x more likely to be killed by police than white men. But, you don’t need research data to tell you that.
