Trump accuses media and Democrats of lying about ‘bloodbath’ comments.

Trump commemorates Memorial Day by ranting about 'human scum'

Donald Trump on Monday accused the media and democrats of lying about what he meant when he told his supporters at a rally in Ohio over the weekend that there will be a “bloodbath” for the United States if he doesn’t win in November.

“The Fake News Media, and their Democrat Partners in the destruction of our Nation, pretended to be shocked at my use of the word BLOODBATH, even though they fully understood that I was simply referring to imports allowed by Crooked Joe Biden, which are killing the automobile industry,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“The United Auto Workers, but not their leadership, fully understand what I mean,” he added. “With the Electric Car Mandate being pushed by Biden, there soon won’t be any cars made in the USA – UNLESS I’M ELECTED PRESIDENT, IN WHICH CASE AUTO MANUFACTURING WILL THRIVE LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!”

Trump made the comment while railing against electric car imports and vowing to levy “100% tariff” on cars coming from Mexico and China, according to a clip shared by Mediaite.

“If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — That’s going to be the least of it,” Trump said. “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”

The Trump campaign has pushed back, saying he meant that there would be an “economic bloodbath for the auto industry and autoworkers.”

However, Trump’s reaction to his loss in the 2020 presidential election, which included inciting a mob of his supporters to storm the Capitol, led many to take his comments as a call to violence to his supporters if he loses in November.
