The office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was vandalized on Wednesday by supporters of Donald Trump as they stormed the Capitol to interrupt the certification of Electoral College votes.
Rioters flipped over tables and tore down photos from the walls of her office according to the New York Times. One rioter was photographed sitting her chair with his foot on her desk. A note saying “we will not back down” was also left in her office.

Democrats and Republicams call on Donald Trump to urge his supporters to back down. Trump tweeted for supporters to be “peaceful” amid the violence, but did not call for them to leave the Capitol.
