Donald Trump swiped at his potential 2024 challengers for the Republican Party nomination for president, Govs. Glenn Youngkin (Virginia) and Ron DeSantis (Florida) this week as he continues to tease a re-election bid.
Trump shared a screenshot of a poll on his social media app, Truth Social, on Tuesday that shows him leading Youngkin by 34 points.
“Helped him get elected—Big time. Press refused to acknowledge, but that’s OK—the people know!” Trump wrote.
The former president was back at it again on Wednesday, this time attacking DeSantis. Trump’s Save America PAC sent out an email soliciting donations with a link to an Insider article with the headline “Mar-a-Lago raid gave Trump a 10-point boost over DeSantis with Republican primary voters, poll shows.”
Both Youngkin and DeSantis are considered to be potential candidates for the Republican Party nomination for president in 2024.
Trump has not officially announced he is running again but he has hinted that he might.
