Trump sycophant J.D. Vance demands Garland ‘face consequences’ for ‘breaking the law’

JD Vance calls polls “fake” when confronted by Fox News host on Trump’s flagging numbers.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) says Attorney General Merrick Garland must “face consequences” for “breaking the law” despite the senator spending weeks defending Donald Trump following the former president’s conviction on 34 felony counts in New York.

Vance joined Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Wednesday to react to the news of House Republicans voting to hold Garland in contempt of Congress.

“If you break the law, you actually have to suffer some consequences for it,” Vance said.

House Republicans voted Wednesday to hold Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over the audio recordings of President Biden’s interviews with former special counsel Robert Hur, who investigated the president’s handling of classified documents. House Republicans already have transcripts of the interview.

The vote was 216 to 207 with one Republican – Rep. Dave Joyce (R-Ohio) – voting against it.
