Trump threatens to deport Elon Musk.

Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that he is open to deporting billionaire Elon Musk as their feud reignited over the president’s massive spending bill.

Speaking with reporters at the White House, Trump said he will look into possibly deporting Musk and using the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to target his businesses.

Musk, Trump’s biggest financially backer in the 2024 presidential election, has several lucrative contracts with the government, which Trump has threatened to revoke.

“We’ll have to take a look,” Trump said. “We might have to put DOGE on Elon. You know what DOGE is? DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon! Wouldn’t that be terrible?”

Musk renewed his criticism of the ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill,’ Trump’s signature domestic policy legislation this week as the measure is being debated by the Senate.

“It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!! Time for a new politivcal party that actually cares about people,” Musk posted to his X platform on Monday.

He also warned Republicans who vote for the bill.

“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame!” he wrote. “And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

Trump responded on Monday with a threat to pull Musk’s government contracts.

“Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa,” Trump wrote. “No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!”

He doubled down on Tuesday.

“He’s upset that he’s losing his E.V. Mandate, and he’s very upset about things,” Trump said. “But you know, he could lose a lot more than that, I can tell you right now. Hey, Elon can lose a lot more than that!”
