Trump rebukes Ivanka over Jan. 6 committee testimony.

Trump turns on Ivanka over her Jan. 6 committee testimony.

Donald Trump threw his own daughter Ivanka Trump under the bus over video testimony that aired during the House Select Committee hearing on the January 6th attack on Thursday night.

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).”

During Thursday night’s hearing the committee showed video of former Attorney General William Barr’s closed-door deposition, where Barr said Trump’s claims of voter fraud were “bullshit.”

“I made it clear that I did not agree with the idea of saying the election was stolen and putting out this stuff, which I told the President was bullshit,” Barr said in the deposition.

The committee also played a clip of Ivanka Trump’s deposition in which she said she believed Barr’s statement that the Justice Department found no evidence of fraud even though Trump was still baselessly claiming that there was.

“It affected my perspective,” Ivanka told the committee. “I respect Attorney General Barr so I accepted what he said.”

Since the public hearing, Trump has lashed out several times on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’ at the committee and Bill Barr.

“So the Unselect Committee of political HACKS refuses to play any of the many positive witnesses and statements, refuses to talk of the Election Fraud and Irregularities that took place on a massive scale, and decided to use a documentary maker from Fake News ABC to spin only negative footage. Our Country is in such trouble!” he wrote in one post.

In another post he called Barr a “coward,” and “weak and frightened Attorney General who was always being ‘played’ and threatened by the Democrats and was scared stiff of being impeached.”

He continued: “The Democrats hit pay dirt with Barr, he was stupid, ridiculously said there was no problem with the election, and they left him alone. It worked for him, but not for our Country!”
