Despite struggling with women voters the all male Republican ticket decided to close out the 2024 campaign by calling two of the most powerful women in the country “bitch” and “trash.
At a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Monday, Trump railed against former House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and mouthed the word “bitch” twice.
“She’s a crooked person, she’s a bad person, evil, she’s an evil, sick, crazy b-,” Trump said, catching himself.
He then mouthed the word twice without actually saying it.
“It starts with a ‘B,’ but I won’t say it,” Trump said. “I wanna say it!”
The other half of the Republican ticket, Sen. JD Vance, doubled down on their efforts to appeal to women voters on election eve by referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as “trash.”
“I want to ask us not to follow Kamala Harris’ terrible example, because I’m sure that everyone single one of us, all of us gathered here, know somebody planning to vote the wrong way tomorrow,” Vance told supporters at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia. “Here in our movement, we love every citizen of this country.”
“In two days, we are going to take out the trash in Washington, D.C., and the trash’s name is Kamala Harris,” he said.
The comments come as polls have shown women breaking heavily for Harris in the closing stages of the campaign.
A recent USA Today/Suffolk University poll found that women resoundingly back Harris over Trump, 53% to 36%.
An ABC News/Ipsos poll found Harris has an 11 percentage point advantage over Trump among women. Women registered as independent were supporting Harris by 18 percentage points and women under 30 were going for the vice president by 40-plus points.
