Trump warns of “potential death and destruction” if he’s indicted.

Lawyer for Jan. 6 Capitol rioters compares Trump to Jesus Christ ahead of expected arrest.

Former President Donald Trump warned that “death and destruction” would follow if he is charged in Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg’s investigation into hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?” Trump wrote on his Truth Social app Friday. “Why & who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely (sic) hates the USA!”

Trump’s comments raise concerns that he is inciting his supporters towards violence against Bragg as a New York grand jury is currently considering whether to indict the former president over hush money payment to Daniels during the 2016 campaign.

On Saturday, Trump predicted that he will be arrested this past Tuesday and called on his supporters to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

Since then, he has attacked Bragg multiple times daily on his app, called for his “removal” from office and claimed that the investigation is politically motivated.
