Trump’s approval rating hits record low.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit a new low in a new poll.

A YouGov/Economist poll released this week found that just 39 percent of Americans strongly or somewhat approve of Trump’s handling of the presidency while 57 percent of Americans disapprove.

Along party lines, just 3 percent of Democrats strongly or somewhat approve of Trump’s job as president while 88 percent of Republicans say the same. Just 28 percent of Independents approve of the job Trump is doing as president.

Trump’s 39 percent overall approval is down from the 41 percent recorded over the last three weeks and 40 percent recorded in mid-August. Trump’s -18 net approval rating is the lowest he has achieved in his second term in the YouGov/Economist poll so far.

The poll also found that more Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of several major issues, including crime (net approval of -7), immigration (-8), jobs and the economy (-22) and inflation and prices (-34).

Trump’s net approval rating for his handling of crime, jobs and the economy, and inflation and prices are all at record lows for his second term.

The YouGov/Economist poll was conducted between September 12 to 15 and included 1,567 respondents. The margin of error is 3.6 percentage points.
