Trump’s ‘border czar’ threatens to imprison the mayor of Denver if he resists mass deportation.

Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump ‘border czar’ is threatening to throw Denver’s mayor Mike Johnston in jail if the city resist the administration’s mass deportation effort.

Homan made the comment in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday.

“Me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing. He’s willing to go to jail; I’m willing to put him in jail,” Homan told Fox News.

Last week, Johnston told Denverite that city police would not assist in federal immigration enforcement to round up immigrants and that the city’s residents would protest.

“Unless they were planning on bringing National Guards mobilized from Texas or Alabama to come invade Colorado, I don’t know where they would find the forces to begin to do that,” Johnston said.

“More than us having [Denver Police] stationed at the county line to keep them out, you would have 50,000 Denverites there,” he added. “It’s like the Tiananmen Square moment with the rose and the gun, right? You’d have every one of those Highland moms who came out for the migrants. And you do not want to mess with them.”

Johnston later walked back his comments about the city’s police blocking deportation efforts but maintains that the residents will protest the effort.

Still, Homan vowed that federal agents would carry out their duties regardless of local resistance.

“I don’t know what the hell is going in Denver, but we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna fix it,” he said.

“We’re gonna enforce the law, period, and they’re not gonna stop us,” he added.
