Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser, Robert O’Brien has tested positive for coronavirus.
O’Brien has “mild symptoms and has been self-isolating and working from a secure location off-site,” the White House said in a statement.
Trump and O’Brien last appeared together in public on July 10 during a visit to the US Southern Command in Miami. Trump’s NSA, whose office is located near the Oval Office and the office of the VP recently returned from a trip to Europe where he met with some key allies. He was last seen in office last Thursday when he abruptly left the White House and has been working from home ever since., according to CNN.
The White House said, “there is no risk of exposure to the President or the Vice President”.
There have been more than 4.2 million confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country and 146,935 deaths, according to the data from Johns Hopkins University.
