Former President Donald Trump’s team reportedly turned over more documents with classification markings and a laptop to federal prosecutors, according to ABC News.
Sources told ABC that the documents were discovered in December as Trump’s team was searching through additional boxes at Mar-a-Lago amid the Department of Justice’s ongoing efforts to have Trump’s attorneys verify that he no longer has classified documents in his possession.
An aide reportedly copied some documents onto a thumb drive and laptop, not realizing they were classified. Both the laptop and thumb drive were turned over to prosecutors.
CNN also reported that Trump team turned over an empty folder marked “Classified Evening Briefing,” to prosecutors as well.
FBI agents seized classified documents while executing a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago last August. Trump’s team also found documents with classification marking in a storage unit in Florida and turned them over to federal agents also.
However, DOJ is still concerned that not all classified documents in Trump’s possession have been turned over.
