Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said on Sunday that 79-year-old Donald Trump’s health issues is caused by fighting radical leftists.
“The pressure on somebody like President Trump right now, not just from outside entities […] all over the world, but also fighting the radicals in this country,” Tuberville told WABC 7770 AM Sunday. “Every day, it’s almost like a fistfight.”
Tuberville’s comments come days after the White House revealed that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after observers noted swelling in his legs.
The condition occurs when veins in the legs struggle to bring blood back up to the heart, according to Johns Hopkins.
The White House also claimed that bruises on the back of Trump’s hand is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking.
