Fox News host Tucker Carlson is reportedly “furious” with executives at the network for not supporting his baseless claims that the Biden administration spied on him.
People familiar with the matter told CNN that Carlson is “furious” especially with the network’s public relations team, “for not backing him up.”
Carlson has repeatedly claimed that the Biden administration was spying on him. Fox pointedly has not covered his claims on its newscasts, even though such an intrusion would normally be a significant news story. Fox has not shown any outward signs of investigating Carlson’s claims, either, CNN reports.
This has not gone unnoticed by Carlson who complained to colleagues about what he sees as a lack of support from the network where he’s currently the host of their highest rated program.
Carlson has “always had tension with” management, but right now he’s “extra pissed,” another source told CNN.
Carlson disputed the report in a text message to a reporter writing, “I’m not mad at anyone at Fox. If I was, I’d say so. I’m mad at you for lying relentlessly. What a loathsome person you are. Please print that.”
