Tucker Carlson says Trump’s indictment is a ‘greater assault’ on democracy than the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Tucker Carlson tells his viewers to call child protective services if they see a child wearing masks in public.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson claimed that the indictment of former President Donald Trump is a greater assault on American democracy compared to Jan. 6 when a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

“If you believe in our system and you want it to continue, you have to raise your hand and say stop, because this is too great an assault on our system, much greater than anything we saw on January 6th, that’s for certain,” Carlson said.

“This is transparently political, it’s meant to take him out of the presidential race. That’s not allowed,” the Fox News host added.

A Manhattan grand jury voted to indict Trump on Thursday in connection with the 2016 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the election.

Though the charges are not yet officially known, sources told CNN that the former president faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud in the indictment.

In a statement on Thursday, Trump remains defiant, insisting that he did nothing wrong and calling the indictment election interference.

“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history,” Trump said in a statement. “The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable — indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference.”
