For the first time since May, the U.S. recorded more than 2,000 coronavirus deaths.
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the country recorded 2,081 deaths from COVID on Tuesday so far.
It is the highest number of deaths from COVID since May. Its also the 21st time the US is recording more than 2,000 deaths in a single day, according to CNN.

There was also more than 170,000 confirmed cases of the virus so far on Tuesday.
Since the start of the pandemic the country recorded 12,589,229 confirmed cases of the virus and 259,860 deaths.
