Veteran slams 'draft dodger' Trump in D-Day ad.

The Biden campaign released an ad with veterans slamming Donald Trump for dodging military service and said he is unfit to serve as commander in chief on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

In the ad, Marine Corps veteran Curtis Register, Army veteran Ed McCabe and Navy veteran Matthew McLaughlin denounced Trump as a “draft dodger” who “criticized veterans” and “doesn’t see it important” to attend funerals of fallen soldiers.

The Biden campaign also highlighted Trump comments reportedly calling Americans who died in war “losers” and “suckers” and his comments attacking late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who was a prisoner in the Vietnam war.

The ad is to “highlight the stark contrast between Donald Trump, who criticizes veterans and has refused to take accountability or attend military funerals, and President Biden, who stands with our troops abroad and takes care of them at home,” the campaign said.

The ad will run as part of the $14 million ad campaign announced last month.
