Walmart will no longer carry MyPillow products in its stores as the company CEO, Mike Lindell continues to push debunked claims that there was widespread in the the 2020 presidential election.
Lindell broke the news on Wednesday night in a Facebook Live stream. He claimed Walmart was “canceling” him despite high sales numbers and offers by him to allow the company to sell his products at a lower price.
“Shame on you Walmart, you’re disgusting!” he said.
On Thursday, Lindell told political strategist Steve Bannon on his ‘War Room’ podcast that the executive V.P. of Walmart told him over video call that the retail giant would no longer be carrying his products because of low customer ratings.
“He said, ‘you don’t make the rating of a four’. I go, what rating system? I go, what are you talking about?” Lindell said.
“You do realize bots and trolls attack all the time,” Lindell recalled telling the executive. “He had this smirk on his face and I said, goodbye, you’re going to be all over the news tomorrow and I slammed the computer!”
Walmart still went ahead and pulled his products. The company told Newsweek in a statement that, “while we are no longer carrying them in stores, MyPillow products continue to be available on Walmart.com.”
Lindell continues to push debunked claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump and has been sued by voting companies Dominion and Smartmatic over those claims.
Lindell said earlier this year that he has spent more than $30 million to prove his claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
