Donald Trump gave his ‘complete and total endorsement’ of Mike Johnson for House speaker.

In a post on his Truth Social site falsely claiming a ‘landslide’ victory in the election last month, Trump insisted that Republicans should not “BLOW THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY WHICH WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN.”

“Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man,” he said. “He will do the right thing, and we will continue to WIN. Mike has my Complete & Total Endorsement. MAGA!!!”

House Republicans have a razor-thin majority in the next Congress, Johnson cannot afford to lose more than one Republican vote for Speaker, if every member is present and votes for a candidate.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) has already said he will not support Johnson and several other far-right members of the House will not commit to supporting him.
