Donald Trump sided with Elon Musk and his tech allies over his MAGA faithfuls in the days long feud between the two sides over immigation visas.

Tech leaders voiced support for H-1B visas, which allow US companies to hire highly skilled workers from overseas. This puts them at odds with MAGA faithfuls who are demanding stricter immigration laws

The feud escalated to the point where Musk endorsed a post calling American workers too “retarded” for skilled jobs, while Ramaswamy accused America of valuing “mediocrity over excellence for way too long.”

MAGA loyalists like Steve Bannon fired back calling Musk a “toddler.”

Trump weighed in on Saturday and sided with Musk.

In an interview with the New York Post, Trump praised the use of visas to bring skilled foreign workers to the U.S.

“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump said.

“I have many H-1B visas on my properties,” Trump added. “I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program.”

The comments represent a shift in policy for Trump who has criticized the H-1B visas in the past.

Trump has called H-1B visas “very bad” and “unfair” for U.S. workers, according to the Associated Press.
