"We're going back to the Capitol, right where it started": Former Trump campaign official announces protest date.

Trump’s 2016 campaign data chief announced a “huge” protest at the nation’s Capitol next month in a show of support for the people arrested for storming the Capitol building on Jan. 6.

“We’re going back to the Capitol, right where it started. And it’s going to be huge,” Matt Braynard told Steve Bannon on his podcast last week, according to HuffPost

The Justice for J6 protest is being organized by Braynard’s group, Look Ahead America, and is scheduled for September 18 on the West Lawn of the Capitol.

He told HuffPost that there will be “high-profile” speakers including members of Congress attending the rally.  He did not identify any lawmaker by name.

Braynard told Bannon that by simply raising the “profiles of the individuals” arrested for storming the Capitol it will “make it harder and harder for the left’s phony narrative about an insurrection to stick,” adding “we’re going to push back on the phony narrative that there was an insurrection.”

He describe Jan. 6 as “largely peaceful” and that protesters were “egged on in many cases by the Capitol Police,” HuffPost reports.
