Women’s March calls for Justice Thomas’ impeachment.

Republican sues Clarence Thomas for failing to file income taxes.

The Women’s March is calling for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ impeachment following the release of text messages showing his wife Virginia ‘Ginni’ Thomas encouraging Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to continue efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, according to The Hill.

“The revelations that Ginni Thomas advocated for the overthrow of our democracy are disqualifying — not just for her as a human being of any decency, but for her husband Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas,” Women’s March Executive Director Rachel O’ Leary Carmona said in a statement. “From the day he was nominated to the Court, Thomas has always acted less like a reasonable jurist and more like his wife — that is to say a professional conservative activist. He is hopelessly compromised, conflicted, and corrupt, and he must be impeached IMMEDIATELY.”

According to the Washington Post, Ginni Thomas and Meadows exchanged 29 text messages between early November 2020 and mid-January 2021 about efforts to overturn the presidential election.

On Nov. 10, after the major networks projected that then-candidate Joe Biden was elected president, Thomas messaged Meadows saying: “Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!!…You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America’s constitutional governance at the precipice. The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.”

“This is a fight of good versus evil,” Meadows wrote to Thomas on Nov. 24, according the Post. “Evil always looks like the victor until the King of Kings triumphs. Do not grow weary in well doing. The fight continues. I have staked my career on it. Well at least my time in DC on it.”

“We are living through what feels like the end of America,” Thomas wrote after then-Vice-President Mike Pence certified the results of the election. “Most of us are disgusted with the VP and are in listening mode to see where to fight with our teams. Those who attacked the Capitol are not representative of our great teams of patriots for DJT!!”

The revelation of text messages between Thomas and Meadows comes at a time when there are questions about whether Ginni’s work as a conservative activist raises ethical issues relating to Justice Thomas’ role on the Supreme Court.
