Conservative pundit Ann Coulter tore into former President Donald Trump on Friday, calling him a narcissist and saying he is “profoundly stupid.”
Coulter, known for her racist and anti-immigration stance, told the right-wing Timcast IRL podcast that she would have forgiven and defended Trump on anything had he not “betray” Republicans on immigration.
“I think he is narcissistic,” Coulter said of Trump. “The one thing I didn’t know when I wrote In Trump We Trust is how profoundly stupid he is. I made very clear in the book the only thing he could do; we will forgive him for anything, and I defended him the day after the Access Hollywood p**** grabbing tape came out. I was petal-to-the-metal defending him. I said we’ll forgive him for anything unless you betray us on immigration. Guess what? He did.”
Coulter was once a staunch defender of Trump and his policies, especially the former president’s hardline stance on immigration. However, she turned on Trump over his failure to finish the border wall and attacked him while he was in the White House.
In 2019, Coulter called Trump the “biggest wimp ever to serve as President of the United States” and an “idiot” for what she said was him caving to Democrats over his demands for additional funding to build the wall.
After Republicans underwhelming performance in the midterms, Coulter took to Twitter to bash Trump, telling him to “shut the fuck up, forever.”
