Steve Bannon called right-wing billionaire Elon Musk a “toddler” and demand that someone do a “wellness check” on him as MAGA infighting continues.
“Someone please notify ‘Child Protective Services’— need to do a ‘wellness check’ on this toddler,” Bannon wrote on Gettr on Friday in a post highlighted by Mediaite.
Bannon was responding to a post Musk made earlier telling his MAGA critics to “fuck yourself in the face.”
“The reason I’m in America along with so many critical people who built SpaceX, Tesla and hundreds of other companies that made America strong is because of H1B,” Musk wrote. “Take a big step back and FUCK YOURSELF in the face. I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot comprehend.”
In recent days pro-Trump tech leaders, like Musk and his DOGE co-chair Vivek Ramaswamy, and MAGA loyalists are feuding over immigration.
Tech leaders voiced support for H-1B visas, which allow US companies to hire skilled workers from overseas. This puts them at odds with MAGA faithfuls who are demanding stricter immigration laws
Musk previously endorsed a post calling American workers too “retarded” for skilled jobs, while Ramaswamy accused America of valuing “mediocrity over excellence for way too long.”
“A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers,” Ramaswamy added in a nearly 400-word post.
Musk took things a step further by removing the verification checkmarks from conservative influencers who criticize him.
