Biden's campaign hits Trump for golfing on his day off from court.

President Joe Biden’s campaign trolled Donald Trump on Thursday following reports that the former president, who frequently complains that the hush money trial is keeping him off the campaign trail, spent his day off from court on the golf course.

“We found out where Trump was. He was golfing. Not campaigning. Golfing,” Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa said in a statement.

“But, when your entire campaign is about enacting revenge and retribution for yourself and doing nothing to make Americans’ lives better, it makes sense you wouldn’t feel the need to actually speak to voters,” Moussa added.

The statement comes after CNN reported that Trump spent his day off from court playing golf at his Bedminster club.

Before the report of Trump golfing on Wednesday, the Biden campaign had released a statement on “Trump’s Campaign Events Today,” it read, “he had none,” according to The Hill.

Trump told reporters this week that “instead of being in Pennsylvania or Georgia, or North Carolina or lots of other places today, I’m sitting in a courthouse all day long,” adding that the district attorney’s office is interfering in the 2024 presidential election on behalf of Biden by “keeping me off the campaign trail.”

Trump is required to be in court for the duration of the trial, which is expected to be up to six weeks. Court is not in session on Wednesdays.

Trump is currently on trial in New York for 34 counts of allegedly falsifying business records to pay hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
