Boebert declines to endorse Donald Trump as her House race heads to an automatic recount.

Boebert forced to 'clear the air' after conspiracy theorists link her recent hospitalization to COVID-19 vaccine.

Conservative firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) declined to endorse Donald Trump for president in 2024 after declaring herself the winner of her House race that is heading to an automatic recount.

Asked if she would support Trump for president in 2024 during an interview with CBS Colorado on Friday, Boebert called Trump an “amazing friend”, but refused to endorse his presidential bid.

“He is an amazing friend, and certainly an inspiration,” Boebert said. “I love his policies. America was stronger than ever under his policies. We had peace through strength, and he was certainly motivation for me to stand up for what I know is right. I certainly would not turn my back on President Trump. I am a huge supporter of his.”

Boebert did say she “loves” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, adding “he is America’s governor, and he has the same policies.”

Several allies of Trump are starting to slowly distance themselves from him following Republicans underwhelming performance in the midterm elections.

Boebert claimed victory last week in her House race despite a very close contest between her and Democrat Adam Frisch in the Republican leaning district. Boebert currently leads Frisch by just 0.2 percentage points.

Though the margin is enough to trigger an automatic recount under Colorado law, Frisch conceded the race. He acknowledged that it is highly unlikely enough votes will flip to give him a victory.
