Capitol rioter posts about civil war on pro-Trump forum after FBI searched Mar-a-Lago.

A Trump supporter awaiting sentencing for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection is supporting calls for a civil war and advocating for more violence after the FBI executed a search warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday.

According to NBC News, after news of the search broke supporters of the former president took to his social media app and pro-Trump internet forums like TheDonald to call for a civil war.


One user that goes by the name “bananaguard62,” posted the top reply to the “lock and load” post.

“Bananaguard62” asked, “Are we not in a cold civil war at this point?”

The user clarified later in a reply that, he’s “awaiting sentencing for trespassing into the Capitol,” so “I am only being careful with my words.”


NBC news reported that according to nonpartisan investigative nonprofit, Advance Democracy, convicted Capitol rioter Tyler Welsh Slaeker posts on ‘TheDonald’ under the username ‘bananaguard62’.

Slaeker pleaded guilty to one count of entering and remaining in a restricted building in June. The charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison.


“The defendant knew at the time he entered the U.S. Capitol Building that he did not have authority to do so and that the building was restricted,” Slaeker admitted in his plea agreement. He will be sentence before U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman of the District of Columbia on November 16, according to NBC News.
