Former CNN anchor Don Lemon slammed supporters of President-elect Donald Trump who are just finding out about billionaire Elon Musk’s stance on visas for skilled foreign workers.
In recent days pro-Trump tech leaders, like Musk and his DOGE co-chair Vivek Ramaswamy, and MAGA loyalists are feuding over immigration.
Tech leaders voiced support for H-1B visas, which allow US companies to hire skilled workers from overseas. This puts them at odds with MAGA faithfuls who are demanding stricter immigration laws.
Trump weighed in over the weekend and sided with his tech allies over MAGA loyalists on the issue.
“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump told the New York Post in an interview..
“I have many H-1B visas on my properties,” Trump added. “I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program.”
In his YouTube show, Lemon argued that Trump supporters who are blindsided by the ‘tech bros’ support for H-1B visas are “dumb fucking idiots” because pro-Trump tech allies already know that if they get rid of H-1B visas the industry might collapse.
“Now you’re finding out, you dumb fucking idiots. Now you’re just figuring this shit out. You’re so fucking stupid, and you deserve it. And you fucking deserve it because you’re so dumb,” Lemon said.
“It’s hypocrisy,” he continued. “Yes. I am gloating over your stupidity and how you were taken, conned….You have been co-opted because you’re in a fucking cult and you don’t even realize it because you have stupid MAGA brain, and you don’t get it. How stupid and dumb are you?”
