Former Trump WH aide blasts Haley for ‘bending the knee’ to Trump.

Sarah Matthews, a former Trump administration official slammed former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley for “bending the knee” to her former boss after Haley announced she will vote for Trump.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, Matthews said Haley threw away her chance to lead the post-Trump Republican Party by falling in line behind the former president.

“She was building momentum, and she really could have been, maybe in a post-Trump Republican Party, been the leader, but instead, she chooses to bend the knee, kiss the ring, like every other Republican seems to do,” Matthews said.

“I mean, Donald Trump said it best: They always bend the knee. And it’s just disappointing, but again, not surprising,” she added.

Haley was Trump’s last remaining GOP contender in the primary contest and was the subject of vicious personal attacks from the former president.

She also landed a few blows herself, calling Trump mentally unfit,” “unstable,” “unhinged,” and “not qualified.”

However, Haley announced last week that she will be voting for Trump over President Biden in the November presidential election.

Matthews said she expected Haley to come out and endorse Biden, but she could have refused to support Trump.

“She has criticized Donald Trump time and time again,” Matthews said. “It goes all the way back to 2016 and she’s flip-flopped numerous times on it.”
