Fox News host 'surprised' by Republicans high 'threshold for humiliation' in impeachment probe.

Co-host of Fox News’ The Five, Jessica Tarlov said Wednesday that Republicans must have a “high threshold for humiliation” as they continue to push ahead with impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden.

“This is the path that they’ve chosen to take, and honestly I’m surprised that they have this high of a threshold for humiliation,” Tarlov said. “Every witness they have called has decimated their argument.”

House Republicans launched an impeachment inquiry last year against the president over allegations that he benefited from and was influenced by his family’s overseas business dealings while serving as vice president.

On Wednesday, the president’s younger brother, James Biden, told the Oversight committee that Biden was never involved in any of his business dealings while he was in office.

“I don’t know why Jim Comer and Jim Jordan thought that perhaps it was going to be Joe Biden’s brother that brought him down,” Tarlov said.

“And then we have the guy behind the holy grail document, the 1023 Alexander Smirnov, who’s found that he had lied about the charges, the $5 million that went to both of them,” she added. “And then it gets even better. Not only did he lie, he was lying because the Russians were feeding him the disinformation. It’s so embarrassing.”

Smirnov was arrested last week and charged with making a false statement and creating a false and fictitious record after lying to the FBI about the Bidens Ukraine ties. He also revealed to prosecutors that Russian intelligence officials were involved in passing information to him about Hunter Biden, according to CNN.

Despite these bombshell developments, Jordan told reporters Wednesday that the inquiry will continue and that Smirnov’s arrest does not change the “fundamental facts” in the case.
