Fox News pundit calls Tucker Carlson a "conspiracy theorist"

A Fox News segment about ‘vaccine passports’ went off the rails on Tuesday when liberal pundit Christopher Hahn called Tucker Carlson a “conspiracy theorist” and called fellow on-air guest Mercedes Schlapp a “grifter”.

Fox News anchor Gillian Turner, get things started by claiming that the idea of a vaccine passport “is hypocritical coming from the Biden administration” because Democrats are “broadly against the idea of I.D. requirements for voter registration.”

“You hit a really important point here: the illogical mentality of the left,” Schlapp responded before claiming that the White House was working with “Big Tech” to develop the technology.

Hahn then pushed back, blasting conservatives for spreading conspiracy theories about the vaccine.

“The private sector is driving it, not the government. But Republicans like everything else they’ve done during this horrible crisis we’ve been through, are pushing these conspiracy theories that the government is trying to control you, which is causing some of their followers not to get vaccinated,” he said. “People like Tucker Carlson, like Jim Jordan, like Mercedes right here now casting doubt on the fact that the government—or trying to convince people that the government is somehow watching you. That is very irresponsible!”

“It is time for conservatives in this country to acknowledge we have a crisis and start joining the fight to end it and stop spreading lies,” Hahn added.

“You are not going to call me a lair,” Schlapp shot back. “You are not going to call me a conspiracy theorist. You are not going to call Tucker Carlson a conspiracy theorist.”

“He is! He is and you are!” Hahn shouted back.

“I stand for freedom,” Schlapp responded. “I stand for the freedom of the American people.”

“No, you don’t. You’re a grifter! This is ridiculous,” Hahn said.

Turner attempted to regain control of the segment, asking the pair: “Let’s not do name-calling, okay guys? Let’s keep it civil.”

“He does this all the time,” Schlapp said. “I’m not gonna allow him to call me a liar and Tucker Carlson a lair.”

“They are damaging the effort to get this under control.” Hahn said.
