George Conway blasts CNN over its coverage of Trump’s hush money trial.

George Conway slams Trump over claim that he has ‘every right’ to interfere in 2020 election: ‘Frankly incriminating’

George Conway doubled down on his criticism of CNN’s coverage of Donald Trump’s hush money trial in New York on Monday.

Last Friday, Conway got into a heated back and forth with the network’s conservative commentator Scott Jennings over Trump’s guilty verdict in the hush money trial. During the argument Conway accused Jennings of “lying” and slammed the network for paying him to knowingly lie to viewers.

The conservative attorney doubled down in an interview on Greg Sargent’s podcast, Daily Blast on Monday, according to the Hill.

“I don’t think he’s a lawyer, but he was clearly repeating talking points that are coming from somewhere,” Conway said of Jennings. “I suspect from somewhere near Palm Beach, Fla.”

“These people repeat these talking points without regard to their truth or falsity. And then on CNN generally — I know some people have some complaints with some of the coverage on the MSNBC — but particularly on CNN,” he continued, “I came to the impression during the trial that people were getting a deeply misleading impression of what actually was happening in the courtroom, and they were getting … kind of textual summaries of what was being asked and what was being answered.”

Conway told Sargent that many staffers at CNN were unhappy with the network’s coverage of the Trump trial.

“The notion that he [Jennings] is doing it as a paid contributor to CNN really gets my goat, and frankly, gets the goat of people at CNN,” Conway said, adding, “I’m ready to say this more, including today, because I do think it’s a problem.”

Conway also revealed that he was ghosted by the network due to his repeated criticisms of Trump during his appearance on their shows.

“When Chris Licht was running CNN, you know, I used to for a long time, I’ve been getting tons of requests from CNN,” Conway said.

He recalled referring to Trump as a  ‘narcissistic psychopath’ during one of his appearances on the network and after that, Conway says he stopped getting calls to appear on CNN “for weeks.”

“You know, it was announced within a day or two, the event, the town hall, the town hall that they held with Trump where they put poor Kaitlin out there with this manifest psychopath and where Chris Licht behind stage told Donald Trump to ‘go have fun,’” Conway said.

The anti-lawyer speculated that the order to remove him from the air might’ve come from Mar-a-Lago, noting that “people in Mar-a-Lago will complain whenever I get on air.”
