Giuliani files for bankruptcy after he was ordered to pay $148 million in defamation case.

Rudy Giuliani says he feels no remorse after he was ordered to pay Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss $148 million for defaming them after the 2020 presidential election when he accused them of stealing the election from Donald Trump.

“I don’t regret a damn thing,” Giuliani told reporters after leaving the courthouse. “The absurdity of the number merely underscores the absurdity of the entire proceeding, where I’ve not been allowed to offer one single piece of evidence in defense.”

“I am quite confident, when this case gets before a fair tribunal, it will be reversed so quickly it will make your head spin,” he continued. “And the absurd number that just came in will help that, actually.”

Asked if he regrets the comments Freeman and Moss received following his accusations, Giuliani answered “of course” but insist that was not his fault.

“The comments they received, I had nothing to do with,” he continued. “Those comments are abominable, they’re deplorable. No defense to it, but I receive comments like that every day … This is a terrible part of our political system.”

At the trial Freeman and Moss, told the jury they received violently racist and sexist threats from Trump supporters against them and their families. Freeman also recalled one incident where supporters of the former president banged on her door, according to Insider.

“I was terrorized. I was scared. I was scared people were coming to kill me,” Freeman said. “They had my address. They had my phone number, my name.”
