A pro-Trump pastor who is running to unseat Republican Sen. James Lankford (Okla.) in the state’s Republican primary next year said the country’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci deserves to be in jail and Kyle Rittenhouse deserves to go free.
Rittenhouse is currently awaiting the verdict in his murder trial where he faces five felonies: first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, after shooting three men, two fatally, at a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin last year after police shot unarmed Black man Jacob Blake.
However, pastor Jackson Lahmeyer said that the U.S. is “upside down” if “American hero” Kyle Rittenhouse is imprisoned while “mass murderer” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, walks free, Newsweek reports.
“Kyle Rittenhouse, in my opinion, and in the opinion of a lot of people, is an American hero,” Lahmeyer said during a Facebook livestream on Tuesday. “He’s a patriot. He defended his community. He defended himself. He’s going through Hell now because of it.”
Lahmeyer added later in the livestream that if he is elected, he will ensure that Fauci is “arrested and convicted for crimes against humanity” because he is “responsible for the creation of this man-made biological weapon virus called COVID-19.”
“They worship a mass murderer. He belongs in prison,” Lahmeyer said of Fauci “But Kyle Rittenhouse, who defends himself against a convicted pedophile, a convicted woman-beater, is fighting for his life not to go to prison. Our nation is living upside down right now.”
Lahmeyer has vowed to call out Fauci on a daily basis and has said he is the “greatest con man in the United States of America, who’s gotten away with murder.”
Lahmeyer only joined the race for Senate because he feels Lankford “betrayed” Donald Trump on Jan. 6. He has so far been endorsed by Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn and former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka.
