Fox News host Sean Hannity may have accidentally admitted that Donald Trump is not qualified to be president.
Hannity made the admission after a heated exchange with Vivek Ramaswamy where he pressed the Republican candidate for president about a number of statements he made relating to foreign policy and Nikki Haley, another candidate running for the GOP nomination for president.
But, Hannity and Ramaswamy ended up trading barbs forcing the Fox News host to cut the interview short.
“I think people that never held public office, like you, maybe they’re not qualified to be president,” Hannity said of Ramaswamy after the interview ended.
Hannity is a staunch ally and vocal defender of Trump who happens to be the only president in the country’s history with no political or military experience prior to taking office.
Ramaswamy responded to Hannity on Twitter noting that his comments would disqualify Trump from holding office and painted himself as the “outsider” in the GOP primary field.
“[Sean Hannity] would have disqualified 2016 Donald Trump, who would go on to become the greatest president of the 21st Century'” he wrote. “I’m the new outsider and the Establishment is flailing and will try to prop up their flavor-of-the month puppet: last month (DeSantis), (Nikki) this month. If you strike the swamp, the swamp strikes back.”
