Herschel Walker asks ex-girlfriend to have a second abortion, report says.

Days after the Daily Beast reported that Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker paid for his girlfriend to get an abortion in 2009, the same woman told the New York Times that he asked her to get another abortion two years later.

The woman, who has not been identified, told The Times that Walker urged her to terminate a second pregnancy in 2011, but she kept the baby and ended her relationship with Walker instead.

The woman also said that Walker had barely been involved in their 10-year-old son’s life, offering little more than court-ordered child support and occasional gifts, according to the New York Times.

“As a father, he’s done nothing. He does exactly what the courts say, and that’s it,” the woman said. “He has to be held responsible, just like the rest of us. And if you’re going to run for office, you need to own your life.”

The woman’s story about Walker paying for her abortion was reported on Monday by The Daily Beast. Since then, Walker has been denying the allegation, calling it a “flat-out lie” and saying he “has no idea” who she is.

The woman is disclosing new information about her relationship with Walker now because he has denied knowing her and referred to her as “some alleged woman” in an interview on Thursday.

The Times confirmed details of her story with custody records in New York family court and through an interview with the woman’s friend. The Times was also able to corroborate The Daily Beast‘s report that Walker gave her a $700 check for the abortion in 2009 along with a “Get well” card.

Walker is a staunch abortion opponent who believes there should be no exceptions in cases of rape, incest, or even to save the life of the mother.

Walker is challenging incumbent Sen. Raphael Walker (D-Ga) for the seat in November. Republicans must flip this seat if they hope to retake control of the Senate.
