Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, was indicted Thursday on gun-related charges, according to NBC News.
Prosecutors in Delaware brought three gun-related charges against Biden after special counsel David Weiss said he would pursue charges after a plea agreement fell through.
Two counts are related to Biden allegedly failing to disclose that he was using drugs while purchasing a Colt Cobra revolver in October 2018. The third count accuses Biden of unlawful possession of a firearm while addicted to a controlled substance.Â
Two of the counts carry a maximum prison sentence of 10 years and up to $250,000 in fines, while the third has a maximum of five years.
