In 2022, Trump is demanding that he be declared the ‘rightful’ winner of the 2020 election now or schedule a new election ‘immediately’

Florida lawyer files lawsuit to disqualify Trump from 2024 race.

Donald Trump is demanding that a new election be held ‘immediately’ or make him the rightful winner of the 2020 presidential election, 22 months after he suffered a landslide defeat to President Joe Biden.

This latest meltdown comes after recent comments by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg about how his company handled the Hunter Biden laptop story after they received a warning from the FBI.

Zuckerberg said that the Justice Department warned Facebook to “be vigilant” about “Russian propaganda” during the last days of the 2020 election cycle. He said Facebook did not label the New York Post story about the laptop as disinformation and they allowed Facebook users to share it, but the story showed up less in people’s NewsFeed, meaning it got less traffic.

On Monday, Trump took to his social media app, Truth Social to push his version of the story and demand either a new election or declare him the rightful winner of the 2020 election.

“So now it comes out, conclusively, that the FBI BURIED THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY BEFORE THE ELECTION knowing that, if they didn’t, Trump would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election,” the former president said.

He continued: “This is massive FRAUD & ELECTION INTERFERENCE at a level never seen before in our Country. REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!”

There is no legal pathway that allows the loser to be declared the winner nearly two years after a presidential election and neither is there precedent to rerun a presidential election because the loser demands it.

Trump’s comments come as he is being investigated by the Department of Justice for possible violations of the Espionage Act and other crimes for keeping boxes of highly classified documents at his Palm Beach, Florida home after he left office.
