The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot has subpoenaed a documentary filmmaker who was given extensive access to Donald Trump and his close associates during the final months of the 2020 presidential election, according to Politico.
Alex Holder began filming on the campaign trail in September 2020 for a project on Trump’s reelection campaign. He filmed interviews with Trump before and after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The committee is asking Holder to hand over raw footage from Jan. 6 as well as interviews from September 2020 to present with Trump, then-Vice-President Mike Pence, Trump’s children, and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The committee is also asking for footage “pertaining to discussions of election fraud or election integrity surrounding the November 2020 presidential election.”
Holder is expected to fully cooperate with the committee.
