Former Nixon White House counsel, John Dean predicted that Donald Trump will be indicted by the Manhattan district attorney’s office within a matter of days.
Dean’s prediction is based on reports that Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen met with the Manhattan DA’s office for a seventh time as they continue to investigate Trump’s finances.
“From personal experience, as a key witness, I assure you that you do not visit a prosecutor’s office 7 times if they are not planning to indict those about whom you have knowledge. It is only a matter of how many days until DA Vance indicts Donald & Co,” Dean wrote on Twitter.
The DA’s office obtained Trump’s tax returns from his accounting firm, Mazars USA last month.
New York District Attorney Cy Vance is investigating whether Trump and the Trump Organization engaged in tax fraud, insurance fraud and other schemes to defraud, including potentially providing false information to financial institutions or banks about the value of certain buildings and assets.
